Kwara South Students' Association Sets to Host Security Awareness Summit
The Kwara South Students' Association National Headquarters, the umbrella body of all indigenous student associations in Kwara South, is set to host the Kwara South Security Awareness Summit, themed "Empowering Youth Against Insecurity." The summit aims to bring together security experts, government representatives, community leaders, student communities, youth associations, and academia to discuss pressing security issues affecting the Kwara South region and empower young people with knowledge and skills to contribute to a safer community.
According to Sen. Adeshina Abubakar Ayoola, President of Kwara South Students' Association National Headquarters, during a press interview, "The Kwara South Security Awareness Summit is designed to educate and empower our youth on the importance of security awareness and community policing. We believe that by working together with relevant stakeholders such as the State Government, Security Agencies, and the Communities, we can build a safer and more secure environment for all." He noted that the youth are often vulnerable to security threats and can play a critical role in promoting security at the grassroots.
Sen. Saka Habeeb Olasunkanmi, General Secretary of the association, added, "As students, we recognize the critical role we play in promoting peace and security in our communities. This summit provides a platform for us to engage with security experts, government representatives, and community leaders, learn from their experiences, and develop strategies to address security challenges in our region.
The Kwara South Security Awareness Summit is scheduled to hold on Thursday, May 15, 2025, 9:00 AM at the Igbomina House Hall, Ganmo, Ifelodun LGA Kwara State.
We invite all students, community leaders, security experts, government representatives, and other stakeholders to join us at the Kwara South Security Awareness Summit. Together, we can make a difference and build a safer future for our communities.
