KWASSA Expands Reach: Establishes Presence at Kwara State Polytechnic


KWARA SOUTH STUDENTS ASSOCIATION NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS VISITS KWARA STATE POLYTECHNIC ILORIN


Ilorin, Kwara State - December 3, 2024 - The Kwara South Students Association National Headquarters (KWASSA) paid a historic visit to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, to introduce the association to the indigenous association in the institution.


The visitation meeting, which took place on December 3, 2024, was attended by delegates from each of the seven local governments in Kwara South, including Offa, Oyun, Ekiti, Isin, Oke-Ero, Ifelodun, and Irepodun. The National President of KWASSA, Sen. Comr. Adeshina Abubakar AYOOLA, led the delegation.


In his remarks, Sen. Comr. Adeshina Abubakar AYOOLA expressed his gratitude to the delegates for welcoming the national executive to their institution. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among students from different local governments and institutions.


The Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, is a renowned institution established in 1973 by the then Military Governor of Kwara State, Col. David Bamigboye ¹. The polytechnic offers various programs in fields such as technology, innovation, and environmental science.


During the meeting, several issues were discussed, including the establishment of KWASSA at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, fostering development and unity among students, and promoting the progress of Kwara South. The delegates also brainstormed ways to benefit the people of Kwara South through the association.


The visitation meeting was a huge success, with all parties expressing their commitment to working together to achieve their goals. The establishment of KWASSA at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, is expected to have a positive impact on the institution and the wider community.


KWASSA is a non-profit organization established to promote the welfare and development of students from Kwara South. The association aims to provide a platform for students to come together, share ideas, and work towards common goals.
